Two-column text inside one-column text box?
Hello everybody,
I'm working on a small size book with a one-column text box threaded through the whole thing. There are some short lists that I'd like to run two-column in the body. Is there an easy way to do this without cutting and pasting the text into a new two-column text box with a text wrap?
Thanks for the help,
Cyril

Re: Two-column text inside one-column text box?
You could assemble it into a two column table. That's the only way I can think of to avoid creating a separate text frame.

Diane, You cannot have threaded text in a table though.

I'm well aware of that, but if he wants that two column text to always be two column and move with text as it reflows, a table is really the only option. Threaded textboxes would not be sensitive to their contents and would constantly have to be readjusted if changes to the text caused reflow.

Or you could paste a two-column text frame into the single-column one as an anchored object.
But Cyril said he doesn't want to create more text frames, so I guess that's out.
