two queries into one recordset - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

If they are related, you should be able to get what you want by doing an Outer Join. select * from table1 t1 left outer join table2 t2 on t1.id = t2.id...

    What do you mean "wouldn't come back". If they are related, you should be
    able to get what you want by doing an Outer Join.

    select *
    from table1 t1
    left outer join table2 t2 on t1.id = t2.id

    Consider using Outer Joins. Check the "Using Outer Joins" topic in Books
    OnLine
    (mk:MSITStore:C:\Program%20Files\Microsoft%20SQL% 20Server\80\Tools\Books\ac
    data.chm::/ac_8_qd_09_0zqr.htm).
