Type on a path using linear gradient
Mac, CS2, OX 10.4.7, G4
I'm typing on a path a headline and I want to use a linear gradient for the fill. I want the fill to arc with the type. The fill stays horizontal even though the path and type arc. I've tried typing on the path and copy and pasting the precreated type. I can't get the fill to arc. Using the gradient tool I can select each character and adjust the angle which gets me close. Any ideas. Thanks, Rog

This means: what you want to do cannot be done in InDesign, not without considerable work, which means that doing it in Illustrator seems easier.
You could ask the experts in the AI forum for tricks to achieve this.

Re: Type on a path using linear gradient
Thanks for the replies. I was just trying to expand what I can do in ID instead of using Illustrator. Always looking for those hidden jewels.
