Typing in design view on Mac very slow
I am using Dreamweaver 4 on Mac (OS 9) and there are times when I type in design view and there is a delay for the words to show up. It happens in certain documents inside of a table cell. There are no code errors in the document. Any ideas?
Thank you.

Are you working on a file over the LAN? If so, this is just a huge bug in
DW. I've talked to them about it, and working on files over the LAN just
isn't supported according to MM.

No, I am not on a LAN. Everything else is normal - typing in code view is fine - it is just slow typing in design view.

Re: Typing in design view on Mac very slow
Yep I know what that is like. Honestly DW is the reason I use so much scripting on my pages now because I can't stand doing anything in design view so I code everything to make it automated in the code view. There really is no way around it. I am curious to see if the G5's handle this program any better because I have a 550 mhz G4 Powerbook with 1 gig of ram and that has happened to me since day 1. I mean even DW 4 running in classic mode with OS 9 ran faster than DW MX in OS X.
So I guess you either need to try a G5 or pray that Macromedia makes patch 6.2 (the Windows version isn't much better just in case you were wondering).
