Typing Text in PDF - NOT WORKING
Hi - I'm on a G4, OS X panther, network. I open a PDF that I need to fill out (it's not a "form" pdf), I click on the text tool, and highlight where I want to add/change text, and this message comes up:
"All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font"
Any help on how to rectify this and have the ability to add/delete text would be great!
THanks

Re: Typing Text in PDF - NOT WORKING
I just ran into that problem with the Cooper Black Font. looking document properties I found it listed as Cooper BlackMS. I've never ever had a MS version of the font. I located the Cooper Black in font list and selected it. For some reason Acrobat is adding MS to thend of some fonts without my knowledge.

Re: Typing Text in PDF - NOT WORKING
Cooper BlackMS is the Microsoft version. It gets installed by Office. Perhaps you have the Adobe version of Cooper Black on your system as well?

Re: Typing Text in PDF - NOT WORKING
Definitely "Cooper BlackMS"? It's rare (though not impossible) for a
font to have a space in its PostScript name, and MT is a more common
suffix than MS. In any case Distiller doesn't change font names;
printer drivers and applications might, but this may be the PostScript
name built into the font.

Re: Typing Text in PDF - NOT WORKING
Yes I do have CooperBlack listed on my OS9 Partition. It was part of adobe package related to ATM/and Adobe. I wasn't aware that Word has a MS Version.
I just openned FontBook and discovered sure enough that there was a MS version.
Where are the files on OSX for acrobat/Distiller related to font Database. In ATM you could cause ATM rebuild its list fonts by deleting certain files in OS 9.
Does acrobat/Distiller in OSX have an equivelent list.
