Unable to access hidden tools in toolbar

I am unable to access hidden tools in the toolbar. I have tried reinstalling Illustrator and also uninstalling and reinstalling it without success. Can someone tell me what I need to do to access them? I am using Illustrator 9.0.1 with a Windows 98 operating system, 512 KB Ram with 10 GB free on my hard drive.

Howard, in cases like this, try the Great Invocation: delete the AIprefs file (FAQ item 4). If you have made changes such as default font, save the AIPrefs with another name first so you can rename it if the deletion does not solve your problem.

My toolbar and the other windows (except Atributes, Info & Type) disappeared! I´m using Illustrator CS in Win XP.
We tried reinstall, delete prefs, ...
After weeks of investigation we found the problem.
My account permissions don´t permit that Illustrator load this Windows (Take in count that my account is administrator in my machine). Why? No one knows.
So every time I need to work in Illustrator i need to call my company support, so they login in my machine with an administrator account (i think this one has more powers than mine hehe!).

I was having the exact same problem with Illustrator from CS5. Try clicking and holding on the icon you want to access the hidden tool from. It worked for me

OMG!! I've been trying to sort this issue out for a week, i was pulling my hair out!! Such a simple solution.
