Default Unable to delete pages from book

    InDesignCS Version 3.0.1 on a Mac G5

Tried the various methods for deleting. Also tried unchecking Allow Pages to Shuffle. When I delete it seems to delete another page in the book rather than the one I want. Any ideas?

In the pages palette, just drag the page you want to delete to the palette's trash icon.

It will warn you if the page contains objects (other than unreleased master page objects).

You probably have it set to start on odd (or even) page and insert blank pages, so every time you try to delete a page it comes right back.

    Gerald,

I've tried all three methods. 1. Select page in page palette & click on trash in page palette. 2. Drag selected page to trash. 3. Select page & click on Delete Page under little arrow in page palette.

    David,

    I've already done this.

    Fred,

I have it set on 'All pages.'

Thanks to all three for trying to help, but I'm still looking for a solution to my problem.

Is there a pattern? Like, when you delete a page is it always the page afterwards that gets deleted or is it 5 pages later, or is it randomn?

    Buko,

I exported as INX but can't open. Alert message says inDesign doesn't recognize the file format or I don't have the right plug-in or it's not in the correct application (I paraphrase.)

    Fred,

I always undelete when I see that it has not deleted the page I want so I can't be sure. Later, I find pages blank at various places so I guess the deleted pages are random.

    Any other suggestions?
