unable to download

Hi,
I am unable to download anything in windows xp
professional at all. I know my connection is fine because
I can browse web pages and the web but I just can't
download anything. I can't find anything about it in the
knowledge base at all so any help you may have would be
great! Note here are my computer's specs:
Athlon XP 2500
80GB 7200RPM HDD
512MB DDR PC2100
Windows XP Professional
Asus A7V8X-X Motherboard
Radeon 9000 128MB AGP.

I am having the exact same problem as Marcel 11 have done everything possible
to make flash and shockwave download, my controls enable activex and i have
tried to disable all our pop up blockers and zone alarm but whenever i click
install, it goes to the next page but no movie displays. i get no messages or
warnings, the movie just doesn't come up. have tried downloading standalone,
restarting pc etc. but nothing works. help us

I'm unable to download. Not getting the security prompt. Even the
[url]http://www.softwarepatch.com/network-security/flashplay-security.html[/url] is taking
forever to download. . Anyone else having trouble downloading flash?
