Unable to download any extension

I cannot seem to download ANY extensions. I always get the following error
message:

Internet Explorer cannot download push.cfm?extension BLAH BLAH BLAH from
adobe.com Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site.

The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again
later.


I've tried several times over several days. I cannot find anything on support
to address this.

I'm just learning Dreamweaver though self-tutorials and a textbooks, so this
is very frustrating.

Any help appreciated!!

I haven't even been able to LOAD the page in months. I send in user
reports and bug reports but nothing ever changes. I miss the Macromedia site...
it was slow but it was usable. I am so frustrated. I've begun looking for
resources other places. If I had known this before purchasing Studio 8... well
I probably wouldn't have.
