What program are you printing from?
I would install the Adobe PostScript Drivers 1.6

Restart the system
Go to Start->Settings->Printers and faxes
Do a right-click on Adobe PDF and select Printing Preferences
On Default Settings, select Standard or wherever you want.
Try it out.
