Default Unable to install any extension

    Hi, all.

I've sucessfully installed in the past some extensions like Interakt Trial.
Dreamweaver extension Manager shows the packages already installed, ,but now
I'm unable to install new extensions. A message "Can't create folder
    <name_of_mpx_file-your_version_mxi> appears.

Can anybody help me with this issue?

    Thanks

Hi, Kevin. Thank you for your prompt reply.

I'm using WinXP, and I can't install no one kind of extension, not only the
Interakt ones. For example, I've downloaded a commom extension and when trying
to install it, I got this error. This takes place with any extension or mxp
    file.

Sincerely, I don't know what can be happening ... Do you have any other tip
    for me?

    Thanks:disgust;

where did u get the beta of Interakts extension manager from ?? I didnt
think they released anything like it.

close dreamweaver and the extension manager.
then you could try going to your config folder

    C:\Documents and Settings\urpcname\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    MX 2004\Configuration

change the name of the Configuration folder to Configuration_old.

then reboot dreamweaver, you will be starting off with a new config folder
and should be able to install all your extensions all over again with out
    issue.

usually I would have a few config folders myself, as I find having too many
extensions installed at once sometimes can slow dreamweaver down and be a
bit of a bother. when I want to use curtain extensions I just reload a
config folder which has those specific extensions installed. as in
    Configuration_old1, Configuration_old2 etc.

    regards

    Kenny

    Hi, Kenny.

I've done what you suggested me, but no success, again. I moved
"Configuration" folder to "Configuration_old" and started Dreamweaver. A new
Configuration folder has been created. But when I tried to install an extesion
(not necessairly the Interakt ones), the Extension Manager fails with the
message saying that it was unable to create a folder "D:\package_name_mxi".
This is a regular drive, with 6+ gig free. I'm running out of ideas ... very
disappointed because in the past I'm able to install some extensions and now it
    is no more possible.

There is a new new approach I can use to solve this problem?

    Thank you, Kenny.

Have you tried reinstalling the Ext Manager?
