unable to join domain
Hi ng.
Using win server 2003
Client is win xp pro
I joined a diff client to domain no problem
Now however will not work on new client
IP is DHCP on client, static on server
DNS and WINS set with server address only
On both working and non-working clients
Attempted to use same cat5 cable and wall jack on both clients
I renamed computer and joined " Workgroup"
Rebooted
Went thru 2nd time and attempted to join domain
Continually receive "unable to contact pdc"
Ideas what I'm doing wrong or what other info I can provide?
Thanks

unable to join domain
Did you create the computer in Active Directory Users and
Computers first?
Have you tried pinging your loopback 127.0.0.1 to make
sure your IP stack is okay?
Have you tried pinging server to make sure your NIC is
okay?
