Unable to save as AI file

Hello!

I am running Illustrator 10.0.3 on a DP G4 with OS 10.2.8.

I suddenly have lost the Save as AI in my dialogue window. I can save as a text file where the save as AI was before, but the suffix coming up is still AI. This just started the other day, soon after I downloaded and installed the Illustrator 11…er…CS demo.

Any ideas?

Hi Brian,

This is a minor bug that occurs when you install Illustrator CS. Basically, the options in the Illustrator 10 Save dialog box get mislabeled. It says "text file" but it is really AI.

Go ahead and save as a "text file." It will correctly save your file as an Illustrator file.

Glad you stepped in first, Lance. My first guess would have been because it was a Demo version.
