Default Unable to set template properties" problem

I had to remove my current contribute properties folder on the server since it
was giving me issues and the admin password seemed to not work.
Well I re-did contribute and now some of my users cannot edit the template
    properties, and get this error:
Unable to set template properties. I can go into contribute using my
admin un/pwd and rights and connect and I have no problem editting that very
same page. I see someone did write about the template directory being lower
case but this is not the case and the template directory is fine.
So how do I fix the error, Unable to set template properties". I work at a
school and would hate for teachers to come back and not be able to work on
    their sites.

Looks like we have the same problem. I can't set template properties either. I hope that we can fix it.
