    Hi Stephen,

Boot into Safe mode, log in as Administrator. Uninstall from there.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, exactly same error message when I tried
to uninstall in Safe Mode when logged on as the Administrator.

As for the previous tip I am unable to reload the original programme as it
has been updated to the new version which is why I want to upgrade.

Guess the only way left is to delete the folder and the go into the registry
and delete keys relevant to the program. Don't really like going into the
Registry though but appears no option?

    Thanks

    Hi Stephen,

While in Safe mode, check permissions on the install.log file and on the
    folder it is housed in.
