Default undo highlighting in AA 5.0

hi all, received a pdf from a client, that received it from his client, with yellow highlighting in certain sections.

he would like to "undo" that highlighting so it looks like a plain pdf/document.

how do you do that in 5.0?
    thanks-william

Those are comments. In print menu I think it's advanced button uncheck print Comments. I may have the place wrong but you want to uncheck print Comments.

Comments are used to tell person on the other end for example, what you changed, where and why.

tried that to no avail, after i unchecked the comments, the document still printed with the yellow highlighting.

but how do you remove/undo the yellow highlighting on screen? maybe i can't because i didn't originate the document.

didn't see anything in the stamps tool about highlighting.

they used the highlighting tool and highlighted the appropriate section. it would seem there'd be a way to "undo" it.

    any other thoughts?

i'm afraid that's it. thanks for your efforts.

to find out if it's indeed locked, is it as simple as file> document security?

Are you sure this highlighting wasn't part of the original document,
    rather than added in Acrobat?

that i can't say... this had come to me from a client, who in turn got it from his client. although after all of this you're probably right.

my client just wanted to know if anything could be done to remove the yellow highlighting on our end. guess not.

    thanks-b

You could see whether the highlights can be selected with the Object
Touch-up Tool, if they are part of the original PDF.

Default Solution to undo highlighting in AA 5.0

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro and I'm not sure if its the same as 5.0?

    Solution:
Click the highlighted text and it will select it showing a blue box around the highlighted text. Then hit your delete key on your keyboard and voila, the highlighting is gone. I was reading through this thread as well and the answer wasn't here and so I tried hitting the delete key and. what do you know. it works. Hope that helps.
