I am not sure why you are using that particular method for getting text from the PDF...

Can you explain a bit more about how your workflow is built?

I wonder to draw a rectangle to extract those needed data from pdf file. Initially i click on the AVTool button to activate the function and draw a rectangle on a specific area to extract the data into xml file.

Sorry just ignore the message before. Currently i used AVTextCopyProcCBExtract(ASAtom format, void* pBuf, AVTBufferSize bufLen, void* pClntData) to extract text from pdf file. May i know which copy proc callback is extract unicode such as chinese character and show in AVAlertNote?
