Uninstalling Acrobat 7
I have just purchased Adobe Creative suite 2 premiun which contains Acrobat 8 professional software. It says Adobe recommends uninstalling any previous versions of Acrobat but I have no ide how to do that ... I thought you only needed to uninstall on windows operating systems. Anyone know how this is done?

Re: Uninstalling Acrobat 7
Cally, I am just doing ours now Acrobat 8 requires OSX.4.3 or above if you have this then just follow the instructions leaflet. If you V7 installed then there should be an un-installer in Acrobat's application folder. In my case V6 has no un-installer so just moving this folder to desktop was ok.

Re: Uninstalling Acrobat 7
There is an uninstaller in the Acrobat folder. It is a good idea to
uninstall because Acrobat changes other things in the system (like
printer drivers and Safari); just deleting a folder won't clean that
up.

I just installed Acrobat8 but didn't un-install Acrobat7 since I'd like to carry on using PitStop with it. Do you any specific problems that I'm going to run into?

Re: Uninstalling Acrobat 7
Shouldn't be any problems. That's more or less a Windows thing.

Re: Uninstalling Acrobat 7
I had Reader 7 on iMac with OS 10.4, I tried to manually uninstall it with instructions on abode site. What headache. After removing files & folders I thought were part of it, I finally gave up and installed v. 8. It installed and works. However, it had that rediculous login item I have no use for and followed directions to remove it permanantly by editing the self heal file. It seems to be gone now.
But frankly I do not want this bloatware on my machine anymore. I use Preview and Pathfinder to read PDF's just fine.
What would be best way to delete v. 8 and any possible leftovers from v. 7. I have no uninstallers. Is there someplace I can download adobe uninstallers.
