    Steve,

    I recently encountered (and I am still seeing) this same error. Did you
    ever get to the bottom of this problem? My feeling is that it may be a
    SCSI card error. Hope you can shed some light on this.

    This error might be because of using a tape drive or storage card
    driver that is not supported by Compaq Storage Agent.
    To get rid of the error un-install the "Compaq Storage Agents" using
    custom.
    It's a kind of caveat if Storage agents are requirement for the
    end-user.
