Unknown Command Encountered !!!!!!!
When I open a FH10, FH9, FH8... file on my WinXP Pro SP1 home computer that has been created on another Freehand application I get the message "Could not complete your request because an unknown command was encountered".
As I work between my home and work computer this is incredibly frustrating as I lose all the work done on my work computer (Mac). If I go back and open a file that has not been saved on my work computer (created on the home computer) it opens fine.
I have tried opening it with the MX trail version with no success, I have tried exporting the work files as FH9, FH8, EPS, all with the same error, and am just about to give up and change to Adobe Illustrator.
My work computer opens all its and other files fine.
What is the problem? and What should I do to fix it?
Home Computer Specs:
PIII 800 MHz, 512mB ram, Win XP Pro, Nvidia TNT 64 Graphics Card with Latest drivers, FH10
Work Vomputer Specs:
Apple G4 Dual 1000 Mhz Pros, 1 gig Ram, Standard Apple Graphics Card I guess, FH10
Please help!!!!!

Re: Unknown Command Encountered !!!!!!!
Windows machines require a file extension to identify the application that
created the file. Have you been including the .fh8, .fh9 or .fh10 file
extensions to the filenames of the Mac files you open in Windows?

Re: Unknown Command Encountered !!!!!!!
Yes I have been including the correct extension from the Mac.
The Freehand files created on the Mac open fine on the Mac, the Freehand files created on the PC open fine on the Mac and PC, but the Mac files do not open on the PC.
Does this indicate a error with the Mac version? I would have thought unlikely as it opens other files correctly, and files it has created itself open no problem. Files created off the Mac and sent to output bureaus also appear to open correctly.
I have also opened the Mac files on other PC versions of the software correctly, maybe my installation of Freehand is corrupt? Well actually both installations - FH10 and the trial version I downloaded (FH11) - I will reinstall.
Possibly my computer is corrupting the files? - again unlikely as I am able to open locally created files with no problem.
I don't know?
Has anyone had this experience? Please let me know.

Re: Unknown Command Encountered !!!!!!!
Just an update, if I restart Windows in Diagnostic mode (basic drivers only) the files open!
What driver could be conflicting, and how would I find out which one is?

Re: Unknown Command Encountered !!!!!!!
Quite possibly a video driver issue. You might check and see if there is an
updated driver available.
