Unlocking DirectEmail Xtra - Macromedia Director Lingo

I have recently bought this Xtra which works fine but despite my best efforts I have been unable to unlock the run time version. I have received no response to my request for help from support at DirectXtras. I suspect my inability to unlock the software is due to my failure to fully understand the help files which seem to be aimed at those with a degree in computing science... If anybody has unlocked this Xtra I would be grateful if they could explain to me how it is done. Alternatively can anybody recommend another Xtra with the same functionality? ...

    Default Unlocking DirectEmail Xtra

I have recently bought this Xtra which works fine but despite my best
efforts I have been unable to unlock the run time version. I have received
no response to my request for help from support at DirectXtras.

I suspect my inability to unlock the software is due to my failure to fully
understand the help files which seem to be aimed at those with a degree in
    computing science...

If anybody has unlocked this Xtra I would be grateful if they could explain
to me how it is done.

Alternatively can anybody recommend another Xtra with the same
functionality? While am reluctant to write off $200 it's no good to me if I
can't use the run time version.

    Hi David,

You don't need any sample movie to unlock the Xtra.

You will have to pass your serial number as the last parameter
    of the New() function.

Locate the New() function in your code, the last parameter is probably 0,
which is a temporary number for activating the Xtra in a trial mode.

Replacing that "0" with your serial number should solve the problem.
    Best Regards,
