    David,
Here's a link at Adobe that may help, <http://www.adobe.com/support/salesdocs/23e6.htm> .

Thanks for that Brent. Unfortunately, I do not live in neither the USA nor Canada, but in Belgium, so the conditions seem not to apply to me, as I understand them.

The only thing I can think of is to communicate with the Adobe folks and see what they say.

There is no problem with legally selling your PhotoShop Elements 1.0 as long as you don't use it to upgrade to Elements 2.0 and you give the buying party all manuals, CD, AND you do NOT keep it on your system. YOU don't need to unregister it. If, however the other party wishes to register it, THEY can contact Adobe with all information (including your signed selling receipt) and Adobe probably will change the registration into their name. Whether registered or not, however, the sale by you and the use by them in those conditions would be proper and legal.

Trying to edit my own message above, I'm told I don't have edit access to it, so here's an additional one instead!

I'm not upgrading to PhotoShop Elements 2.0; instead I have a new CD of it, which has a different serial number, so I feel I can safely sell the 1.0.1 version. I really want to make sure that the buyer will have no problem should they try to register with the serial number of 1.0.1. From what Bob says, no problem!

    David,

AS LONG as you didn't use that version 1.0 to get a lower price on the version 2.0 upgrade (which would be listed under your serial number account at Adobe). You'd still have a different serial number on Elements even if version 1.0 was used for the upgrade. Full versions of each, no upgrade to gain price discount would also be recorded in your Adobe registration account.

No, the PE 2 is a completely new purchase, so i seem to be in the clear!

    Thanks for the advice.

I would say so, David. Good luck.
