Unwanted black background appears within Dreamweaver
A black background appears behind the text below when I am editing it in
Dreamweaver.

However, the black background does NOT appear when I view it in Firefox or IE.

It might be "stuck" highlighted in Dreamweaver. Have you tried closing Dreamweaver and opening it again?
