unwanted transparancy of models
problem
I export a file with models with textures (uvw mapping) in 3D Studio Max 5 or
6 as a W3D file, then I import the file in Director MX. When I start rotating a
model in the 3D world with lingo, I sometimes can see right through that model
with the textures from 3D max on top of it. Anyone who knows how to avoid this

Re: unwanted transparancy of models
i'm thinin maybe your problem is in the normalization of some of the
faces. try runnin the piece and typing this into the message window
member(your3Dmember).model(theModelInQuestion).vis ibility = #both
and hit enter. if the see through places aren't see through any more
then those faces have been normalized bassackwards somewhere.
it may be a thing about 3dmax though, others may be able to tell you.
my 30 days expired on my trial version of max, and i can't afford to
get it. i've had similar problems before with other modeling software
though.
