Update refuses to work

[Poppy]

I run the following code and nothing happens.

mySQLUpdate = "UPDATE tblProd SET authorMemo = 'TEST'"
set objCmdUpdate = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Command")
objCmdUpdate.ActiveConnection = MM_myConn_STRING
objCmdUpdate.CommandText = mySQLUpdate
objCmdUpdate.CommandType = 1
objCmdUpdate.CommandTimeout = 0
objCmdUpdate.Prepared = true
objCmdUpdate.Execute()

The page executes without a problem but the field 'authorMemo' never gets
updated.

Any Ideas ?

Do you have an On Error Resume Next?

And what happens if you just do:

Set objADO = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
objADO.Open MM_myConn_STRING
objADO.Execute mySQLUpdate
objADO.Close : Set objADO = Nothing
