Updating Adobe Software
I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, let me know if it belongs somewhere else.
When I use the Adobe Updater menu (Help/update) from any of my Adobe applications it looks for updates, downloads the files needed and attempts to install the updates. I then get a message to close all Adobe applications, which I do. The message keeps popping back up to close all applications.
No matter what I try, the updater thinks that there is an open application.
I tried restarting and running the updater alone, without even opening
any Adobe products, but the same message keeps coming up.
I repaired permissions, and still have the problem.

Re: Updating Adobe Software
Joe,
I had the same thing happend to me, but it rectified itself eventually, so not sure what I did. I tend to do things without thinking, so can't remember what I did. Try restarting and go straight to upgrade. I just kept hitting the buttons and eventually it took. Then it didn't work right anyways, so I reinstalled the software and the second time it worked right.
So, not much help, but my motto is keep trying, eventually it works;)

Re: Updating Adobe Software
Make sure that you are not running Safari, since that may have the
Acrobat plug-in running.

Re: Updating Adobe Software
Try to use force quit and see if it shows any applications open.
