Updating files

I am having trouble with a contribute site. My users cannot update their
sites. When I try to do it with dreamweaver 6.1 it puts a .new file in the
directory but does not update the existing file.
Ex :
The file I am updating default.htm
when I put the file to the server it creates
default.htm.new

I also noticed that when I disable Contribute for the site that it works just
fine. Please help

Hi,

As far as Contribute is concerned. .NEW files indicate that Ct was not able to rename the file. See if turning off Rollbacks in the Admin options will work.
