Default Updating FTP Information for already existing roles

I have a Contribute 4 site set up with a ton of different access roles set up -
I'm hoping I don't have to redo them. Here's my situation.

We are moving to a new server, and the domain name will still be the same. So
thereotically, I'm thinking, everything in the _mm folder can be moved over and
all should work on the new server.

However, my FTP connection information will change (FTP host name, userid and
password). Is there a place I can go in and edit and update this information
globally that will update all my roles? Or will I have to start from scratch????

I think you are right about moving the _mm (etc.) folders. And you could always
search the files in this folder (xml) for changed settings. Don't forget to
make backups in case anything goes wrong.

Since the (ftp) connection information is also stored on the users computer, I
think that you should sent your users new connection keys for there roles. This
way you do not have to change the role settings in any way, just sent new
connection keys with the proper connection settings. The users open the key and
replace their connection in Contribute that way.

Thanks - that was my hunch on how the connection information was managed.
