Updating to OS 10.2.8 created an AI 10.0.3 problem.

I just upgraded my Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) to OS 10.2.8 and I have a problem with AI 10.0.2. Everytime I start it up, I get a dialog box that states " The document PDF message uses fonts or characters which are not available or are in a different format than originally specified". Is there any way to remedy this, and why is it happening? Do I have to go back and reinstall illustrator? If so, how far do I go back, my last full version of AI is 7.0 or earlier- everything from thereon is an upgrade. Do I have to go all the way back there and reinstall every version up to 10? Thanks for your help.
