Your client will have to purchase his/her own copy:

Re: updating websites by clients
I would say that is a pretty good question (although i don't know how you didnt
find the standalone :P). I don't understand why the FAQ doesn't say anything
about the client having to buy there own copy.
My question is, if the client does have there own copy (and knows nothing
about ftp) how easy is it for me to hook them up with site access? Any chance I
can send them some file they just click on and it installs the preferences and
passwords needed? Anyone done this with someone they were not standing next to?

Link to standalone app:
http://www.adobe.com/products/contribute/
Conncetion:
You can send your client a connection key with the settings and a password
included.
In the main menu go to Edit, Administer websites, Users and Roles
