You should be able to, but you should make sure that you are a registered owner and phone Adobe. I upgraded from Illustrator 1 to Illustrator 7, Aldus PageMaker 3 to Adobe PageMaker 6.5. Obviously all my early stuff was on 'big' floppies, they gave me new serial numbers.
