upgrade to AIX 5.2 when running DB2 7.2: is this possible? - IBM DB2

Hi Currently we're running DB2 7.2 EE on a pSeries running AIX4.3.3 Can someone tell me if i can upgrade to AIX5.2 without upgrading to DB2v8 We're also still running DB2v5 servers (with v5clients which must connect to the v5 and v7 database) v5client cannot connect to v8 server, so i don't want to upgrade to DB2v8 yet TIA Kn˘kmans...

    Hi

    Currently we're running DB2 7.2 EE on a pSeries running AIX4.3.3
    Can someone tell me if i can upgrade to AIX5.2 without upgrading to DB2v8

    We're also still running DB2v5 servers (with v5clients which must connect to
    the v5 and v7 database)
    v5client cannot connect to v8 server, so i don't want to upgrade to DB2v8
    yet

    Yes, DB2 v7.2 is supported on AIX 5.2. I recommend upgrading to a recent
    DB2 fixpak (maybe fixpak 7 or later).
