Upgrading... to OSX 10.3 and trying to reinstall Illustrator 10...
I just upgraded to Mac OSX 10.3, and the only disk I have for Illustrator 10 native to OSX is an upgrade. I am hoping not to install Classic on my computer (doubt it will be possible). The Illustrator 10 disk asks for a previously installed version of Illustrator, but that is Illustrator 9, which needs Classic.
Any advice???
Thanks in advance!!!

I'd try installing. With most Adobe installers, when you have an upgrade version, if the previous version is not already installed, it will just ask you for the serial number of the previous complete version.

Re: Upgrading... to OSX 10.3 and trying to reinstall Illustrator 10...
Thanks Steve. This worked... I couldn't use the default installer, but instead, the one located inside the Illustrator Upgrade Folder. Thanks so much for giving me the support needed!
This is a very trying time... lots of loose ends to tie up!!

Re: Upgrading... to OSX 10.3 and trying to reinstall Illustrator 10...
you will need to have a valid "system folder" (os9) in order to upgrade version 10.0 to 10.0.3. you DO NOT have to launch classic (i FORBID classic on the osx boxes i support), but you DO have to point the classic pref pane to it so the system knows it's there. you can then run the 10.0>10.0.3 updater and the world is a beautiful place again. :)
note to adobe: many of our clients MUST HAVE illustrator 10 due to legacy workflows that REQUIRE illustrator 10 to prevent text issues.
