Default Upload files do different directory

As she uploads a linked file from her computer, I need a user to upload
downloadable PDFs to a directory other than the default "documents" directory
Contribute wants to put them in. I know Dreamweaver well, but contribute...not
so much. Is there a way to do this?

Default Re: Upload files do different directory

The solution lies in the 'role-settings'.

In the main menu go to Edit - Administer websites - and choose your website.
Pick the top option: 'Users and Roles'
    Choose: 'Edit role-settings'
    Choose: 'File-placement'

You should get it right form there on without further problems. You will
notice that Contribute uploads pdf default to a folder 'documents'. Contribute
always creates these folders in the folder where your page with the link to the
file is placed. So when your page is in the root, the new folder will be
    created in the root.

    Good luck.
