Urgent Help Req... Master Pages :-(
hi all
sorry im being really thick and desperate for some BASIC help
have only recently stated using indesign (and have a manual too so sorry to ask!)
am creating a catalogue where by i need text boxs on the master and then appear on each page as i pull them into the main document
however each time i pull down the master with the text box in it when it appears in the main document i can select it
realise that by default you cant edit these items but my book tells me that to overide the text box in the main document i have to select the item! how can i do this if its not editable until you select and override it
im on a mac and have CS2
im desperate for help as i have over 100 pages to format today
kind regards
nuxes

Re: Urgent Help Req... Master Pages :-(
I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do? To override a non selectable frame in the main doc just shift-command-click it. But to pour in text you dont need to do that, just make sure your loaded cursor is over the textframe.
P.S Dont start any new lines in a message with a lowercase "i", it will turn your text to italics as you can see.
