No, but OpenOffice.org's (OOo) Presentation program can export a Powerpoint file> into Director?
as a Flash .swf file which Director can use. www.openoffice.org 65MB plus you
may need to pre-install the J2RE thingy from www.sun.com/java of 15MB
It does the job well.

Re: Urgent: Xtra to import powerpoint 2000/97 files
As Andrew mentioned, there are a few apps that will export to SWF, or you
can export your presentation as JPG files and bring in. The older function
of importing a PPT file into Director was not very successful (at least not
in my experience). You can always open the actual PPT file via PointViewer
where it appears to be somewhat :"seamless", that gives the end user the
ability to edit the PPT as they wish. (I use BuddyAPI to perform this
function, works great).

Re: Urgent: Xtra to import powerpoint 2000/97 files
Thanks guys.
In the end I've found an old version of office and converted it to
Powerpoint 4 format to import to Director via the Powerpoint xtra which is
contained on the original CD.
Bit of a shame to use Director in this way, but the client is in a rush and
wants his powerpoint file to work properly. Should have thought about that
before he used Powerpoint in the first place I say...... ;-)
