URLs and MT-NewsWatcher - Mac Applications & Software

I'm using Version 3.2 NewsWatcher on OS X 10.2.6. I have had three unpredictable behaviors when command-clicking or option-clicking a URL in a news item. 1) An alert comes up saying it needs a helper; 2) it launches Netscape and displays the desired page, despite the fact that Internet Explorer is already launched and is my default browser, and 3) (only once, after a reboot) it displays the page in Explorer. A future version that's been out for well over a year, and that
    directly addresses the problem raised.
