usb keyboard problem!!!!!! - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

hi! I am facing a new problem regarding my usb keyboard. I have an acer machine model no. Veriton 7100. It has a usb keyboard and ps2 mouse. I loaded redhat linux 7.1 in it and was successful. After that I compiled a new kernel 2.4.20 as i have to do some toolchain building and some other work also. Everything went on nicely but when rebooting, the new kernel lacks keyboard support. I tried to load the old configuration file also but still then no keyboard support. I cannot change my keyboard. Please tell me as this is a totally ...

    Default usb keyboard problem!!!!!!

    I am facing a new problem regarding my usb keyboard. I have an acer

    You took me wrong dear. I have saved the old file and things weer
    going smooth even if the ew one didnot booted correct. I need to get
    my keyboard work in new kernel. please help in that respect.

    hi,

    There was no optionas the name USB keyboard support. I selected my
    default configuratioin when in xconfig stage. When booting mew kernel,
    its written "At(4) kKeyboard not found" Then kudzu starts running and
    key boards stops functioning. Please help.
