USB to PS/2 Converter Problem with KVM Switch - Mac Applications & Software

I have a Dell PC and a Mac Powerbook G4 connected to a Belkin KVM Switch. The Belkin KVM switch only has PS/2 ports, so I have to use a PS/2 to USB converter for the Powerbook. My problem occurs when I switch between the 2 computers. When I switch from the Mac to the PC (which is connected through straight PS/2 ports) everything works fine. But when I switch back to the Mac, both my Keyboard and Mouse do not work, until I unplug and re-plug-in the PS/2 to USB adapter in the back of the Mac. After that, ...

Default USB to PS/2 Converter Problem with KVM Switch

I have a Dell PC and a Mac Powerbook G4 connected to a Belkin KVM
Switch. The Belkin KVM switch only has PS/2 ports, so I have to use a
PS/2 to USB converter for the Powerbook.

My problem occurs when I switch between the 2 computers. When I switch
from the Mac to the PC (which is connected through straight PS/2
ports) everything works fine. But when I switch back to the Mac, both
my Keyboard and Mouse do not work, until I unplug and re-plug-in the
PS/2 to USB adapter in the back of the Mac. After that, everything
works perfectly fine, until I need to switch to the PC and back again,
when I have to repeat the process.

If this is something that I can fix, I'd love to, for its annoying
every time I switch back and forth (which I do a lot). I tried
connecting the Adapter to the PC and using the switch, and I had the
same problem...so that eliminates it being a problem from one of the
computers (leaving the problem to reside in the KVM or the adapter).
Any idea on how to troubleshoot it more? Anybody else experiencing
    this problem?

Help would be much appreciated... Thank-You

I have a Belkin SOHO 4 port switcher; I have no problems. I'm using
Belkin's PS2 -> USB converter. Are you using that one too?
