Use Adobe Reader in IE
Both Adobe Reader 6.01 and Acrobat Professional 6.01 are installed on the pc. It's fairly easy to change the default file association for pdf's from Acrobat to the Reader.
But can you change the "interaction" with Internet Explorer 6.0. So that pdf's are opened with the Reader in IE - and not with Acrobat? (Win 2000).
(English is not my native language, as You can read).

Re: Use Adobe Reader in IE
Just open Reader before you click in the link in IE and it will use the Reader to open the file.

Re: Use Adobe Reader in IE
Thanks for Your reply
Is this "the definitive" answer?
No possibility for a setting, registry editing or something else, to "automate" the "procedure".

Re: Use Adobe Reader in IE
There is a registry hack quoted somewhere on this forum (I believe Reinhard Franke originally posted it) but there have been mixed reports about it's effectiveness.
You should be able to find it fairly easily by doing a forum search and then you can try it out for yourself.
Adobe themselves say that it is by design that Acrobat, rather than the Reader, is called by your browser if you have both installed.
