use cfml in JS
Hi
Is it possible to use ColdFusion functions in Javacript ?
e.g. (won't work)
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
//Usage: writeRichText(fieldname, html, width, height, buttons, readOnly)
writeRichText('rte1', '#texteintrag#', 500, 300, true, false);
//-->
</script>
Thx.

Re: use cfml in JS
Consider first, that the cf function can only be used at the server.
What is passed to the browser can only be the result of running the
function on the server.
So javascript cannot know about the function itself when the page loads.
But there is no reason why a cf function could not be duplicated in
javascript providing you pass all the necessary data for the js function
from the server.

Re: use cfml in JS
Hi
i think we can use the coldfusion in javascrit provided that the script has
to be executed when the page loading.
you can do like this :
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
//Usage: writeRichText(fieldname, html, width, height, buttons, readOnly)
<cfoutput>#writeRichText('rte1', '#texteintrag#', 500, 300, true,
false);#</cfoutput>
//-->
</script>
When the is loading cf server will execute that code with in the cfoutout and
it will perform that operation.
for some limitation we can use the cf in javascript.
and still i am using it when ever necessary.
