Useless question
I consider this question useless because it really doesn't have anything to do with workflow. I finally purchased CreativeSuite2 Premium. The first thing that I noticed (before even opening any of the programs) is that they changed the folder designs. That really doesn't matter, however after the second day, the InDesign folder lost all of its graphic design (it is just a plain folder). I really does not matter either, but I was just curious regarding what would cause this to happen, and how I could get it back?

useless firewalls
You have a choice--a computer that works or a room decoration with a firewall. Most people I know keep them turned off. -

Re: Useless question
That was my first thought also, however after several days (with shutdown and restart each day), it is still just a plain folder.

Re: Useless question
The question would not be "useless" if you make it clearer.
When you say "they changed the folder designs," who are "they?"
Which InDesign folder is that, the one containing the InDesign application?
What do you mean by folder design and graphic design? Could you be refering to the icons?

Re: Useless question
You are correct... The Adobe InDesign "folder" that contains the program- InDesign somehow lost the decorative icon that was on the folder. Not a big deal, but I am just curious on why it is just a plain simple folder now, and how I can get the icon back onto the "folder".
Thanks

Re: Useless question
You can copy/paste icons between "get info" windows

Re: Useless question
Michael's problem is where to copy the icon from since those in his Mac are missing. If you are near someone who has ACS2 applications installed, copy the icons from there.
1. To copy, highlight the folder containing the desired icon, do Cmd-I (Get Info) and at the upper-left side of the window that opens, highlight the icon and do Cmd-C (copy).
2. Highlight the target folder where you want to put the icon, do Cmd-I, highlight icon holder at the upper-left side of the window, then do Cmd-V (paste).
If you are running on OS 10.4, just highlight the source folder and do Cmd-C. No need for Get Info. But you still have to do Get Info in the target folder.

Re: Useless question
I would do routine maintenance. It most likely still there something is just screwwy or corrupt in the user.

Re: Useless question
Thanks for the input. It really didn't matter because the actual program worked, I was just curious why it happened. I ended up going into one of the "extras" CD's and copying an InDesign folder. Oh well, who knows.
