One of our clients (who has a few problems with Contribute already, for various
reasons) contacted me with this error he recieved:
I attempted to update our website (front page) today with Contribute.
However, when I tried to save I got the following error message: "Can't
publish this draft because another user has removed your lock on the file.
Select File>publish as a new page. etc." I tried that to no avail. I saved
the changes to the front page as index2.html

His site has had a few problems already, such as the index.html being deleted
(don't know how it happened, but I was able to restore by rolling back a
version) and the site hacked. I solved the problem by going in with
Dreamweaver and deleting index.html and renaming index2.html to index.html.

He is using Contribute 2 on a Windows platform (XP, I believe) and the site is
hosted on a Windows Server 2003 box. The only notes I have been able to find
on the Macromedia site with the same error pertain to Mac OS X 10.2 Servers.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has some insight into why this is
happening, I'd appreciate it. Since the client has had so many problems with
Contribute recently, I don't think he'd be happy with the answer of "Upgrade to
3" yet.
