User's Can't Create Links in Editable Regions
I'm using dreamweaver templates to manage a site with Contribute C3 v4.1. All
of my users, even admin users, receive the error message 'you cannot preform
this action on this region of the page' when they try to add any type of
hyperlink to a document based on any of my templates. I've tried rebuilding the
templates with no luck. Has anyone experienced this type of global problem with
link creation and Dreamweaver templates? I've given users unrestricted editing
rights within editable regions. I'm stumped here, any suggestions would be most
welcome.

Re: User's Can't Create Links in Editable Regions
I've tried all of the suggestions in this post without any luck except for one.
If a user copies an existing link within an editable region, pastes it to where
they want to insert a new link, they are able edit it appropriately and save
the page. Unfortunately, this is an extremely clunky workaround. My templates
are properly formed and my user permissions as set using the contribute key
system are in proper order so this is a very frustrating problem.

Can you post the url to the page or post the source code?

Re: User's Can't Create Links in Editable Regions
I use CS3 and copied the source of the page and created my own version. I can
insert links or edit without any problems, so it doesn't seem to be a problem
in the html, but you will have to check the css and html, because there are
issues.
The CSS check came up with some issues. Don't know if the are related, but you
could clean you head section and test a page without the css, or correct the
css.

Check the html with a validator, maybe that solves the problem:
