Using a library - Mac Programming

Hi, I am trying to port a command-line tool that comes from linux, but I have a problem: it uses the readline library, which is not installed on Mac OS X. I installed it with fink, but I do I specify in the source files where that lib can be found? When I try to compile, I got an error for: #include <readline/readline.h> What should I add for the compiler to find readline.h (which is in /sw/include/readline/readline.h)? Thanks a lot in advance, -- Arthur...

    Default Using a library

    Hi,

I am trying to port a command-line tool that comes from linux, but I have
a problem: it uses the readline library, which is not installed on Mac OS
    X. I installed it with fink, but I do I specify in the source files where
    that lib can be found?
When I try to compile, I got an error for:

    #include <readline/readline.h>

What should I add for the compiler to find readline.h (which is in
    /sw/include/readline/readline.h)?

    Thanks a lot in advance,

To the compiler command line add:

    -I/sw/include

If the extra library is somewhere special (not in /lib, /usr/lib or
/usr/local/lib), say in /sw/lib, then add this as well:

    -L/sw/lib

I still get loads of warnings and a few errors, but not concerning
    readline.h. So I think I can tell that it's working :)

    Thank you,
