Using clipboard in version 5 on version 6 file giving problems
We have a business process whereby we "cut" data from supplied PDFs and paste into Excel. We are running Acrobat 5 and have recently recieved some 6.0 PDFs. Using this technique the data does not appear to be getting into the clipboard. I will upgrade to 6.0 if required but this seems like a compatability issue? Any assistance or work arounds appreciated. Thanks Clarrie

PDF file doesn't open in web browser for Version 5 but does open for version 6
This problem was solved by uninstalling Acrobat and reinstalling it. Then I downloaded the latest patch and installed that. -

couple different text select tools and then the TouchUp tools. If you
are pasting into Excel, I suspect you are using the Table/Formatted Text
tool, right?
When you first select the text, does it get highlighted by Acrobat?
Is the text white? Sometimes the resulting, pasted text is then white,
and therefore not initially visible.
I would be keen to see a sample of this trouble PDF. If possible,
please send a page or two (or more) to: sid at accesspdf dot com.
Thanks-
