Default Using Coldfusion to work through Dreamweaver MX DynamicApplications exercises

I'm working through the exercises in the book Dreamweaver MX Dynamic
Applications, and I have a couple of questions ( I'm running Windows XP Home
Edition and have Studio MX installed): 1) Is the version of Coldfusion that
comes with Studio MX all I need to work through the exercises AND view the
results on my PC? 2) If the answer is yes, any helpful suggestions on how to
fill out the Remote Server and Testing Server fields in Site setup would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Default Re: Using Coldfusion to work through Dreamweaver MX Dynamic Applications exercises

Windows XP Home is not an ideal development machine so you will have to
install CF in standalone mode. This will mean that you websites will be
stored in C:\cfusionMX\wwwroot\sitename

Your remote server is not your machine but rather the eventual site for the
pages under development. Your testing server would have a URL of
http://localhost:8500/sitename
