    Default Using PageMaker 7.0 Upgrade

I am currently using Windows 98 and am thinking of installing an upgrade version of PageMaker 7.0. (Cost is a factor and I can't afford to purchase the whole version) If I do not currently have any form of PageMaker on my system, is there any way I can still use the upgrade or any part of it? Thanks for your help?

    Hopeful Marilyn

Default Re: Using PageMaker 7.0 Upgrade

The upgrade needs to detect a valid version to upgrade from. So, no it won't work.

This is the Acrobat forum, not the PM forum.

Re a cheapy PM "upgrade": Unfortunately that is not possible as the previous poster noted. PageMaker is expensive in its full version, but it sells in Canada for about half what it used to sell for when it was THE hot DRP app circa 1998.

The reality is, however, that if you haven't got a project that justifies that full price for PageMaker, it is unlikley that the project needs PageMaker unless you need the PDF output capability. But even that isn't strong as a feature unless you have Acrobat 6.01 Pro.
