    Default Using PHP within Dreamweaver

Hello. I am a first time poster to this forum who has been developing in
Dreamweaver for the past three plus years. I have a client who has an existing
website that was developed using PHP. The client wants to add e-commerce
functionality to their website so that they can sell products on-line. I have
implemented several PayPal applictions through Dreamweaver, but have never
worked with PHP before. I have several questions in regard to this issue:

    1) Can Dreamweaver be used to modify PHP code? If so, what is the process to
make that happen? At present, when I open a PHP page using Dreamweaver, all I
get is a blank work space.

    2) Can PayPal Shopping Carts work within a PHP environment? If so, what
special things would I need to know to make this happen?

Any assistnace and/or direction that can be provided would be MOST WELCOME!

    Regards,

If you want to edit PHP with Dreamweaver, the best idea is to forget the
design view and go straight into the code view, and edit everything by hand.
I haveb't even opened the design view in Dreamweaver in years!

    hay y'all....

i'm a new dreamveaver user here...and i'd like to ask some questions.

how do you connect to a remote mysql database? in the create new connection
dialog box do i use the IP address or what? in the server name column?

ow and another one, i'm currently building a master-detail PHP page....and
when entering the detail page i'm planning to make a some sort of intro
page...a banner/poster page for the current product...and my question is, how
do you link the banner page to the detail page?

    thx...
