using Studio 5 with MX 6.1
I have windows XP proff, running MX 6.1 and dreamweaver MX - everything seems
to work fine in this enviornment, but I really like my old Studio 5.0
enviornment. I can open documents but when I try and connect to the database
(localhost) I get the following messate: error occured accessing the RDS
server : the authentication failed.
Now I tried to delete and add the localhost again from the debug mapping under
debug in studio- that didn't work. Any other suggestions? I really prefer
studo to dreamweaver - any way I can keep using this tool?? Thanks

Re: using Studio 5 with MX 6.1
I'm still able to use Studio 4.5.2 with CFMX 6.1 and CFMX 7, including RDS
connections, so I'm not sure why Studio 5 would not work. I'm on a Windows 2K
machine, and no dreamweaver, so perhaps that may be the critical difference.

Re: using Studio 5 with MX 6.1
Well I found the answer to my own question! If anyone else has this problem go
into adminstrator and under RDS passwords simply remove the checkmark from the
option that requires dreamweaver MX and studio to have passwords... wa-lah
databases are now authenticated.
back to work...
